Being IN 8TH grade gets you day dreaming about your high school life. You think about new boys, friends, faces, and socializing. But first, you must make the fatal decision- what high school fits your standards? Ventura? Buena? Foothill? Education was the last thing on my mind. I was more worried with what I was going to wear the first day, or the new boys. Foothill had the stereotype of being the “nerd school” , but once you get there you find out why people paste that label on this school- all they care about is where you’re going once you graduate, your job, and your college applications. They just want you to succeed in life.Which isn’t a bad thing.
As soon as I got the letter saying I was enrolled in the Foothill Tech class of 2014 I called up my best friend, who’s brother goes here, to give her the good news-we are going to the same high school together. Then I went online to find out what this school was all about. I log on to the website to find out schedules, upcoming events and other items of the sort. So far, I was pumped to be a Foothill Techy.
Being a Techy would mean me not being able to see a lot of my friends from Buena and Ventura. But I knew what I wanted, and that was a bright future. Foothill could help build up to that. My head being my college future life was dying to go to Foothill. Although my heart was a little incomprehension-able to the fact I won’t be with my girls every day, but my future was more important.
So, here I am, a Dragon. Not regretting my choice for High School because of the lack of socializing, but relieved that I chose to come to Foothill. even if I get some playful teasing, I’m proud to say I am a Foothill Dragon ;D
